The command "msdt.exe (Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool)" introduced here will be migrated to a new Microsoft platform (an interactive troubleshooting tool) and will be discontinued (deleted) in 2025.

1. Press Windows Key + R to open Run, enter the following code and press Enter:

msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic

2. "Hardware and Devices" will open, so click "Advanced Settings" at the bottom.

3. Make sure that "Repair automatically" is checked and click "Next."

4. It will start detecting problems with your hardware and devices.

5. If a problem is found, it will be repaired automatically or the following message will be displayed. Please read the instructions carefully and follow the on-screen instructions.

6.1. Once one problem is resolved, we start to detect other problems.

7. Once troubleshooting is complete, it will display any problems found.

If you find it annoying to type the code into Run every time, you can create a shortcut for the troubleshooter.

1. Right-click on an empty area of ​​the desktop > New > Shortcut.

2. In "Enter the location of the item", type "msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic" and click "Next".

3. Type "Troubleshooter" in the "Enter a name for this shortcut" field and click "Finish."
