Intel Wi-Fi driver | Fixed a blue screen issue

Intel released the Intel® Wireless Wi-Fi driver, version 23.40.0, for Windows 10 and Windows 11 on April 9, 2024.

Installing version 23.40.0 will resolve the issue of blue screens and the rare issue of exclamation marks appearing in Device Manager.

It also includes fixes for minor performance and stability issues.

After updating the driver, Windows Update may automatically install an older version of the driver. If this happens, stop the automatic installation.

1. Press Windows key + R to open Run, type "sysdm.cpl" and press Enter.

2. System Properties will be displayed, so open the "Hardware" tab and click the "Device Installation Settings" button at the bottom.

3. Check "No (device may not function properly)" and click "Save Changes."

4. Click OK to exit System Properties.

If you do this, your device may not be recognized when you connect a new device in the future. If this happens, try changing the setting back.

Once the setup is complete, update to the latest version of the driver.
