This time, we will introduce how to launch a program using a single alphabet letter from "Run".
This method is not limited to Windows 10 and Windows 11, but can also be used with earlier operating systems, so it's convenient to register your favorite programs.
Launch a program using a single alphabet character from "Run"
For example, press Windows key + R to open "Run", type "regedit" and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
The "regedit.exe" file is located in the "Windows" folder on your system drive.
On Windows, you can find the program (extensionexe), you will be able to open the program by entering its name in Run.
This time, we will use the screenshot capturing program "Snipping Tool" that comes with Windows as an example.
How to open a Windows folder
Press Windows Key + R to open Run, enter the following code and press Enter:

Windows 10
In Windows 10, the Snipping Tool is located in the "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories" folder.
1. Press Windows Key + R to open Run, enter the following code and press Enter:
%ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories
2. Copy the "Snipping Tool" (shortcut) from the Accessories folder into the Windows folder.

3. When copying, if you see the message "Access to target folder is denied," click "Continue."
4. Right-click the copied "Snipping Tool" (shortcut) > Click "Rename".
5. Change the name to your preferred alphabet (we'll use "a" here).
6. After making the changes and pressing Enter, you may see a "File access denied" message, so click "Continue".
7. When the "User Account Control" screen appears, click "Yes".

Now that the setup is complete, enter "a" in the Run box and press Enter.
The Snipping Tool has launched.
Windows 11
If you're using Windows 11, you'll need to have the Snipping Tool open to find it.
1.Start buttonClick and type "Snipping Tool" in the search box. "Snipping Tool" will appear on the right, so click "Open."
2. Once the "Snipping Tool" is launched,Start buttonRight-click on it and click Task Manager.
3. Open the Details tab, right-click on "SnippingTool.exe" and click "Open file location".
4. Right-click on "SnippingTool.exe" in the opened folder > Show more options > Send to > Click "Desktop (Create shortcut)".
5. Click the shortcut on the desktop. Same steps as Windows 10and copy it to the Windows folder.
