Microsoft released a preview of update KB5046732 for Windows 11 version 23H2 on August 21, 2024.
KB5046732 fixes an issue that could cause some Bluetooth devices, such as hearing aids, to not work properly.
Microsoft has stated that "Bluetooth audio will not stream to some devices, such as hearing aids." This likely includes the following:
- No sound: No sound can be heard even when the volume is turned up.
- Choppy: The sound plays in a choppy manner.
- Unable to connect: The audio equipment cannot pair with the device.
- Lag: The audio and video are played out of sync.

- new function!The abbreviated date and time will be displayed in the system tray. Also, if you have the "Do not disturb" toggle set to on, the notification bell icon may not be displayed. If the bell icon is not displayed, click the date and time to view the message in the Notification Center. To revert to the long date and time format, go to Settings > Date & Time. Then, turn on the toggle for "Show time and date in the system tray." To display the bell icon, go to Settings > System > Notifications. Turn on the toggle for "Notifications." You can also access these settings from the context menu. Simply right-click the clock or bell icon in the system tray.
- Fix: When "Auto-hide the taskbar" is selected, the search box appears as an icon instead of a search box.
- [Input Method Editor (IME)] New! After installing this update, the IME toolbar will be hidden when the app is in full-screen mode. This only occurs when the IME toolbar is active and you type Chinese or Japanese characters.
- [Start Menu] NEW! Right-click an app pinned to the Start menu to see its Jump List, if the app has one.
- [File Explorer]
- New feature! You can share content to your Android device from the File Explorer and Desktop context menus. To use this feature, you must install and configure Phone Link on your PC.
- Fix: There may be more space than expected between items listed in the left pane.
- Fix: We fixed an issue where the search box would get cut off if the File Explorer window was small.
- [Touchscreen] New! This update adds a new section for touchscreen edge gestures. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Touch. Here you can choose whether to turn off touch gestures on the left or right edge of the screen.
- [mouse] New feature!This update adds an option to turn off Enhanced Mouse Pointer Precision in Settings > Bluetooth and Devices > Mouse, as well as a new option to change the mouse scrolling direction.
- [Dynamic Lighting Settings Page]
- NEW! If you don't have a compatible device connected to your computer, a placeholder message will appear on this page and the brightness and effects controls will be turned off.
- New! This update adds forward, backward, outward, and inward direction options to the Wave effect. The Gradient effect now has a forward direction option.
- [Jump List] NEW! Shift+Ctrl+click a Jump List item to open the item as administrator.

- [Bluetooth LE Audio] Fixed: Bluetooth audio does not stream to some devices, such as hearing aids.
- [Mouse and Game Bar] Fixed: Mouse may become unlocked from game window. This happens when you have multiple monitors and open and close Game Bar.

- [IFilters] NEW! Windows Search runs IFilters in a Low-Privilege App Container (LPAC). LPAC is similar to an app container, but denies more permissions by default. Processes running in LPAC have access to only the resources they need. Processes cannot access sensitive system components or data. This reduces the damage that a compromised process can cause.

- New feature! The disconnect and logoff dialogs now support dark mode and text scaling.
- New feature! The performance section now displays each disk type.
