Recently, Microsoft Edge added a new feature called "Image Magnification," which makes it easy to enlarge images on pages that don't support image magnification.
In my environment, the Edge version is 122.0.2365.92.
For example, place the mouse cursor over the image above, right-click, and click "Enlarge Image," or press the Ctrl key twice in succession to enlarge the image.
The enlarged image opens in a simple image viewer with only the zoom, zoom out, and undo buttons at the bottom left.
- Each time you left-click or middle-click on the image, the image will enlarge, returning to its original size once it exceeds the maximum size.
- You can zoom in and out of the image by rolling the mouse wheel (middle mouse button) over it.
- If you left-click on the image and move it without releasing it, the image will move along with it.
- Click the undo button to return to the original size and position.
- You can close the enlarged image by clicking anywhere outside the image viewer or by clicking the × button in the upper right corner, but we recommend closing it with the × button.
This is a very useful feature, so please give it a try.
However, images (.svg files) on some sites may not be displayed even when enlarged.
