As expected, Windows 11 version 24H2 is packed with bugs.
Deprecated Windows 11 24H2 is full of bugs
After installing the update KB5044384 released on October 24, 2024, an issue occurs where the number of "Apps," "Background Processes," and "Windows Processes" on the "Processes" tab of Task Manager becomes "0."
This is just a bug that prevents the number from being displayed, so I don't think it's a big problem, but it is inconvenient for users who want to check the number of processes.
There is no doubt that the cause of this bug is a design flaw in the Task Manager itself.
I investigated whether there was any way to display the number of processes, and discovered a way to temporarily display the number of processes.
I noticed that the process count appears when you search for something in the search box at the top of Task Manager.
However, if you search by name, publisher, or PID, only the number of hit processes will be displayed, so try entering text into the search box, leaving it blank, and pressing and holding the Enter key on your keyboard.
This will display the total number of processes.
It will disappear when you release the Enter key, so try this if you want to check the number of processes temporarily.
