What to try when your mouse wheel isn't working properly
1. Sign out
I thought signing out would fix the problem, so I did, but it still doesn't work properly even after signing in.
2. Reboot
Many problems can be solved by restarting the PC, but even after restarting it still didn't work properly.
3. Disable the mouse in Device Manager
I've tried disabling and re-enabling the mouse in Device Manager, but that didn't solve the problem.
4. Disconnect the USB mouse from the PC and then reconnect it
I use a wired mouse connected via USB, so I solved the problem by disconnecting it from my PC and reconnecting it.
If you experience the same symptoms as I did, first try disconnecting the USB mouse from your PC and reconnecting it.
If the same symptom occurs repeatedly, it may be due to insufficient power if the USB mouse is connected to a USB hub. Try connecting it directly to the PC or using a powered USB hub.
