This time, we will introduce the items to check and solutions if the currently popular game "Black Myth: Wukong" crashes while playing.
I tried playing Epic Games' Black Myth: Goku in my environment, and without changing any in-game settings, I was able to play smoothly without any stuttering or crashes.
My environment:
- OS: Windows 11 Home 23H2 64-bit (22631.4037)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor
- Memory: 32GB

If you meet the minimum requirements and still crash,Task managerLet's check it out.
Close Black Myth: Goku, open the "Performance" tab in Task Manager, and check the number displayed under "Available" under "Memory."
It seems that the game may crash during shader compilation, but memory usage increases during shader compilation.
In my environment, memory usage exceeded 10GB during shader compilation.
*Approximately 6.3GB is used during normal play.
If you check Task Manager and the "Available" value under "Memory" is less than 10GB without running Black Myth: Goku, Windows is using virtual memory.
Virtual memory uses part of your storage, such as your hard disk or SSD, as memory, which significantly slows down processing speeds.
This may be the reason why you are experiencing crashes.
Additionally, if you have virtual memory disabled or manually configured, a crash may occur due to insufficient memory.
Intel CPU issues
Intel CPU Core 13/14 generation models with "K", "KF", "KS", etc. at the end may experience issues such as unstable operation or crashes.
This may be the cause, so please check.
The cause of instability and crashes in Intel Core 13th/14th generation CPUs has been identified
Black Myth: What to do if Goku crashes
1. Open the "Performance" tab in Task Manager. If the "Available" value in the "Memory" section is less than 10GB when Black Myth: Goku is not running, close unused applications to free up available memory.
*It is recommended that the "available" memory capacity is 11GB or more.
2. If you have disabled or manually configured virtual memory, we recommend restoring it to its default settings.
3. If you have disabled memory compression, try enabling it again and playing.
Should I disable the memory compression feature in Win10/Win11?
4. The latest version of your graphics driver is compatible with and optimized for Black Myth: Goku, so please update your driver before playing.
- NVIDIA Game Ready 560.94 Optimized driver for Black Myth: Wukong and more
- AMD Adrenalin Edition 24.8.1 released, fixes screen flickering and other issues
- Intel® Arc™ & Iris® Xe Graphics – Windows*(Intel official page)
5. I have changed the NVIDIA settings, so please use this as a reference.
Changing your NVIDIA settings may help you play more smoothly.
