Microsoft previously announced that it would be releasing a fix for the problematic Windows 10 update KB5034441, which prevents users from installing the update.
However, on April 30, 2024, they announced that "The automatic resolution for this issue will no longer be available in future Windows Updates. Manual steps are required to complete the installation of this update on devices experiencing this error."
Simply put, this means that we will not be releasing any future fixes for the KB5034441 error, so you will need to resolve the issue yourself.
It was a surprising turn of events that the patch that everyone had been waiting for was not released yet.
Microsoft recommends extending the recovery partition size to fix the issue where KB5034441 cannot be installed.
However, when ordinary users operate the recovery partition, there is a risk that they may accidentally delete partitions other than the recovery partition. Therefore, I previously created a tool to operate the recovery partition, which I introduced on the next page.
Win10 Solved! Error 0x80070643: KB5034441 cannot be installed
After various tests, I found that even if the size of the recovery partition is expanded, the installation of KB5034441 may not be successful, and I have determined that the size of the recovery partition is not the root cause.
And I found a way that almost solved the KB5034441 0x80070643 error.
Win10 almost solved! KB5034441 0x80070643 error
The error KB5034441 can be safely ignored if:
- If you haven't created a recovery partition
- If you do not use the BitLocker device encryption feature
- If no third party can access your PC
If the above applies to you, there is little point in updating, so we recommend that you leave it as is without doing anything.
2024 / 07 / 11:
Win10 KB5034441 No update required if the requirements are met
