This time, we will show you how to change the settings of Windows 11 Magnifier to suit your needs and use it conveniently.
Have you ever used a magnifying glass? A magnifying glass is a very useful feature for people with poor eyesight.
Just like the magnifying glass you use to read a newspaper, you can enlarge any part of the screen, so please give it a try.
In Windows 11,Windows key Pressing the + key will open the magnifier and magnify the screen by 2x by default.

In this state, the entire screen is enlarged, so the desktop is displayed beyond the screen.
If you slowly move the mouse cursor towards the edge of the screen (top, bottom, left, right), the screen will move and you will be able to see the invisible parts, but personally I find this very hard to see and use.
Also, by default, pressing the Windows key + "+" ("-") key (or the +- button on a magnifying glass app) zooms in (out) by 100%, which I also found very difficult to use.
Customize Magnifier settings to suit you
Windows 11 Magnifier allows you to fine-tune settings such as how you magnify and how much you zoom in at one time.
1. Change the zoom method
1.Start buttonRight-click > Settings.
2. Click "Accessibility" on the left and then "Magnifier" on the right.
3. The magnifier settings will be displayed, so click on "Full Screen (Ctrl + Alt + F)" to the right of "View."
4. Try selecting "Fixed (Ctrl + Alt + D)" or "Lens (Ctrl + Alt + L)."
When the enlargement method is set to "Fixed"
If you set the zoom method to "Fixed," instead of the entire screen being zoomed in, a horizontal window will appear at the top of the screen, displaying the zoomed portion.
You can adjust the height of this window by moving the mouse cursor underneath the window and left-clicking when the cursor changes to an up and down arrow.
You can also move the mouse cursor over the window, and when it changes to a cross arrow, left-click and move it down to make the window smaller, allowing you to move it wherever you like or change its size.
*When you move the window to the top, the left and right sides of the window will automatically expand to the default length.
When the magnification method is set to "Lens"
If you select "Lens" as the magnification method, a window will appear around the mouse cursor, showing the magnified area.
This window will follow your mouse cursor wherever you move it.
You can change the size of the lens by clicking the arrow ">" to the right of "View," so try changing it to a size that suits you.
If the lens size is too large, it will be difficult to use, so we recommend keeping it within 1/4 of the screen.
2. Invert colors
Go to "Settings" > "Accessibility" > "Magnifier" and look towards the bottom and you'll see an option called "Invert Colors."
When this is set to "On", the enlarged area will be displayed in inverted colors, which may be much easier to see for some people.
In the image below, the enlarged area is shown in inverted colors.
3. Change how much you zoom in at a time
The default setting is to enlarge (reduce) the image by 100% at a time, so try changing that setting.
1. Click the arrow (>) to the right of "Zoom level" in "Settings" > "Accessibility" > "Magnifier" to display the "Zoom level increments." Click "100% (default)."
2. Each level will be displayed, so press the Windows key + "+" ("-") key (or the +- button on the Magnifier app) to select the percentage you want to zoom in (out).
Personally, I recommend 5%.
Once you've set it up in advance, you can easily start and close the magnifier by pressing Windows key + "+" to open it and Windows key + "Esc" to close it, which is very convenient.
There are also other features such as text reading, so please try them out.
